Job Summary
Our client in the FMCG warehousing and logistics industry is seeking to employ an experienced Inventory Supervisor to join their Warehouse Finished Goods division to join their team based in Humansdorp.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and controlling finished goods inventory, ensuring stock accuracy, FIFO compliance, inventory reporting, staff supervision, and supporting warehouse operations through ERP and WMS systems. This role requires a strong leader with excellent inventory control knowledge, analytical ability, and operational oversight experience within a fast-paced warehousing environment.

Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehousing, Inventory Management, or related field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in inventory or warehouse management, including supervisory experience
- FMCG industry experience preferred
- Proven experience working with ERP and/or WMS systems
- Strong knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment
Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Manage daily finished goods inventory operations
- Maintain accurate stock records using ERP and WMS systems
- Ensure inventory accuracy and stock integrity at all times
- Conduct cycle counts, wall-to-wall stock counts, and variance investigations
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Monitor and maintain FIFO compliance
- Ensure efficient storage practices within the warehouse
Warehouse Operations
- Support shop floor scanning and inventory-related system issues
- Assist in maintaining operational efficiency within warehouse processes
- Ensure inventory movement and storage procedures are followed correctly
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to optimise stock flow
Supervision and Team Leadership
- Supervise inventory and warehouse staff
- Provide leadership, guidance, and support to operational teams
- Monitor staff performance and ensure operational targets are achieved
- Promote teamwork and continuous improvement initiatives
Reporting and Analysis
- Compile inventory reports, KPI reports, and variance reports
- Monitor inventory trends and operational performance
- Provide accurate reporting to management and relevant stakeholders
- Support decision-making through inventory analysis and reporting
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Production, Logistics, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain teams
- Support operational planning and inventory optimisation initiatives
- Ensure alignment between physical stock and system records
Compliance and Quality
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards
- Maintain adherence to GMP, HACCP, ISO, and regulatory requirements
- Promote best practices in warehouse and inventory management
- Ensure housekeeping and operational standards are maintained
