Job Summary
Our client operating across the Environmental / Manufacturing sectors, is looking to employ an experienced and driven Finance Manager, to be based in the Coega IDZ, Gqeberha.
This is a senior leadership role combining strategic financial management with operational execution, supporting business scale, profitability, and strong governance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and sit at Board level, building robust financial systems, driving cost discipline, and ensuring long-term sustainability.
Requirements:
- Relevant Degree / Diploma in Finance / Accounting / CIMA
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar position, gained in a manufacturing environment
- Strong financial background in Business Administration, Finance, or Business Control
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Experience building or professionalising finance functions in growing businesses
- Strong analytical ability with experience interpreting complex financial data
- Comfortable operating in a pre-profit or scaling environment
- Experience with compliance processes including BBBEE compliance
- Exposure to ERP and financial systems (HUGE ERP advantageous)
- Strong communication skills with confidence at Board level
- High integrity and strong accountability
- Experience in capital-intensive or energy-related industries (preferred)
- Experience in dynamic, fast-growing business environments (preferred)
Key Duties & Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Own budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial reporting.
- Establish strong financial planning, control cycles, and variance analysis processes.
- Drive cost discipline and working capital optimisation in a production environment.
- Translate operational and financial data into insights for strategic decision-making.
- Build scalable finance, administration, and IT systems and processes.
- Define and monitor financial and operational KPIs linked to plant performance.
- Identify financial and operational risks and implement mitigation measures.
- Take ownership of financial systems, controls, and IT governance.
- Act as strategic partner to the Managing Director on financial and business matters.
- Prepare and present structured financial reports to the Board of Directors.
- Ensure transparency, governance, and accountability across financial operations.
- Support strategic planning through scenario modelling and financial analysis.
- Oversee daily finance and administration operations and month-end processes.
- Lead and develop the finance and administration team.
- Improve internal communication and cross-functional financial coordination.
