An established organization within the retail and wholesale sectors, with a strong focus on operational excellence and financial integrity, is seeking a seasoned Regional Financial Controller to join their team in Gauteng. This role is crucial for driving financial controls, compliance, and operational efficiency across multiple regional sites, supporting the company's growth trajectory and strategic ambitions.

Duties:

• Enforce robust financial controls across the region, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit standards

• Manage and review emergency payments and buyouts, ensuring proper documentation and authorization

• Oversee petty cash submissions, auditing floats at regional branches, and ensuring accuracy before submission to Central Finance

• Administer insurance claims and fleet card management

• Lead regional stock control processes, including stocktakes, system configuration, and variance investigations

• Supervise the Goods in Transit process, asset verification, and maintenance of asset registers

• Prepare CAPEX documentation and ensure assets are correctly recorded

• Oversee financial GRVs, procurement processes, and ensure adherence to policies

• Perform comprehensive financial administration including transaction processing, reconciliations, and reporting

• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing queries

• Monitor compliance with all relevant financial, tax, and governance policies

• Collaborate with stakeholders to continually improve finance processes and controls

• Manage contract administration and maintain documentation governance

• Provide financial insights to operational management and assist with risk mitigation

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant financial management experience

• Strong analytical skills and experience in asset management

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

• Knowledge of accounting standards, tax legislation, and governance

• Proven ability to manage complex financial processes and controls
