Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full IFRS compliance, including accurate reporting of income, expenses, assets, and liabilities
- Oversee the preparation, review, and timely delivery of management accounts, budgets, and financial reports
- Manage tax compliance and statutory submissions in line with legislative requirements
- Establish and maintain robust governance frameworks, accounting policies, and internal controls
- Drive process automation, system enhancements, and data integrity within the finance function
- Provide strategic business partnering support to EXCO and senior stakeholders
- Lead, manage, and develop a high-performing finance team
Job Experience and Skills Required
Education:- NQF Level 7 Finance qualification (CA(SA) or CIMA non-negotiable)
- 5–8 years’ financial accounting experience within the insurance industry
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven people management experience
- Strong understanding of the insurance and financial services environment
- Sound working knowledge of IFRS, including IFRS 17
- Advanced IT and financial systems capability
- Strong analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
