Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Cleient's as well as SR FML Fleet and is responsible for coordinating all mechanical and equipment repairs and services for the fleet. Overall responsibility to ensure all vehicles on the road meet all necessary Road Traffic regulations and DQSP requirements at all times and to monitor and minimize the number of down days of vehicles.
Coordinate and ensure routine repairs and maintenance of all Digistics own as well as SR FML vehicles within their maintenance agreements and or service schedules.Responsible for maintenance administration records and or purchase orders for routine maintenance and repairs of Digistics vehicles.
Act as a bridge and as a connector between the service provider carrying out repair work and the Company.
- Controlling the maintenance and repair of vehicles in the fleet
- Receipting of daily vehicle check sheets and reporting of all new damages and defects to the Transport Manager. Responsible for daily vehicle uptime reporting and routine maintenance
- Receiving and recording daily vehicle mileages from daily vehicle check sheets. Receiving and recording daily fridge hours from daily vehicle check sheets. Responsible for weekly vehicle and fridge and tail lift service schedule report. Arranging vehicles for service with service provider and DC.
- Responsible for transfer and hand over of vehicles between DCs or to and from service providers; Must manage all vehicle hand overs. Completion and signing off of vehicle check sheets on delivery and collection of vehicle etc.
- Responsible to Cultivate and maintain strategic third party supplier relationships and service level
- Vehicle quality standards are consistently maintained in accordance with Road Traffic Regulations and QSP requirements
- Responsible for tail lift load certification Responsible for fridge calibration certification Responsible for truck wash bay and cleaning schedule.
- Inspect and sign off all accident and breakdown repairs for quality assurance. Responsible to obtain and maintain truck licensing and registrations

- Ensure receipt of a vehicle accident report for all vehicle
- Must maintain records of all repairs done and associated
- Manage and keep record of vehicle washing schedule in line with QSP
- Must make vehicles available to Super Rent for services as per manufacturer’s
- Must manage vehicle availability / scheduling to fulfil the delivery
- Must manage all vehicle repairs with Super Rent until the vehicle is back in
- Must manage purchase requests for vehicle
- Must manage purchase requests for replacement
- Achieve 100% on time safe dispatches from the
- Must conduct and sign off a fleet audit with Super Rent
- Perform related duties as
- SLA
- Must ensure achievement of vehicle standard service levels agreed with Super Rent. Must manage all vehicle handovers with Super Rent as outlined in the Super Rent SLA
Work Experience Required
· 5 Years: Proven Fleet Management Experience
· Experience in Driving Code 14 Trucks and Trailers
Qualification Required
Minimum Required
Grade 12
Applicable tertiary qualification will be advantageous
Valid Code 14 EC Driving License and Public Drivers Permit
Must pass VTS Dover, Medicals and Driver screening checks.
