Role Overview
3L Consulting is recruiting an experienced and fully accredited Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager for a leading automotive retail organisation with an established dealership network.
The successful candidate will manage the finance and insurance process associated with vehicle sales, structure suitable finance solutions, promote approved insurance and value-added products, and ensure that every transaction complies with legislative, regulatory, OEM and dealership requirements.
This opportunity is suited to a customer-focused and target-driven F&I professional with proven dealership experience, strong relationships with finance houses and a sound understanding of the South African automotive finance environment.
Key Responsibilities
Facilitate and submit vehicle finance applications to approved banks and financial institutions
Assess customer requirements and present suitable finance and insurance solutions
Explain finance agreements, interest rates, costs, products and contractual obligations clearly to customers
Promote and sell approved insurance and value-added products, including:
Extended warranties
Service and maintenance plans
Tyre and rim insurance
Scratch and dent cover
Credit life insurance
Asset protection products
Tracking and telematics products
Maximise finance, insurance and value-added product penetration while maintaining ethical sales practices
Achieve agreed F&I revenue, profitability and performance targets
Prepare and process all finance and insurance documentation accurately and timeously
Verify customer information and supporting documentation
Obtain the necessary customer signatures and ensure that all agreements are fully understood
Monitor each transaction from finance application and approval through to funding and vehicle delivery
Liaise with banks and finance houses to support efficient approvals and deal funding
Ensure vehicle registration and licensing documentation is completed correctly
Maintain accurate, complete and audit-ready deal and compliance files
Build and maintain effective relationships with customers, finance houses, insurance providers, OEM representatives and dealership teams
Work closely with the Dealer Principal, Sales Managers and Sales Executives to support vehicle sales and customer satisfaction
Compliance and Governance
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation, regulatory standards and internal requirements, including:
Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act (FAIS)
National Credit Act (NCA)
Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA)
Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA)
Consumer Protection Act (CPA)
Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) principles
FSCA requirements
OEM standards and dealership policies
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 / Matric
Relevant Regulatory Examination completed
NCA accreditation
Retail Insurance or Short-Term Insurance qualification with a minimum of 120 credits
Accredited by an authorised Financial Services Provider
Previous Section 13 mandate to perform applicable NCA functions
Required Continuous Professional Development points completed within the stipulated timeframes
Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar F&I role
Previous experience as an F&I Specialist or F&I Manager within a motor dealership environment
Proven track record of achieving finance, insurance and value-added product targets
Experience working with major South African banks and finance houses
Sound knowledge of dealership finance processes, OEM standards and Dealer Management Systems
Valid South African driver’s licence
A Credit Management Diploma would be advantageous.

Remuneration and Benefits
Basic salary of R15,000 to R20,000 per month, depending on experience and proven performance
