Hire Resolve’s Client is seeking a detail-oriented Back Office Specialist to join its growing operations in Cape Town CBD. If you have experience in financial transactions, reconciliations, or accounting support and enjoy working with numbers and solving discrepancies, this is an exciting opportunity to grow your career in a developing financial services environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform daily financial reconciliations across payment platforms and banking systems, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Prepare supplier and service provider payments for approval.
Process customer overpayment refunds and ensure transactions are accurately recorded.
Capture accounting entries relating to interest, fees, penalties, and payroll payments.
Record financial transactions associated with debt portfolio sales.
Prepare and maintain supporting documentation for financial transactions.
Work with CRM, accounting, and financial systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Support the finance and operations functions by maintaining strong controls, accuracy, and efficient processes.
Requirements:
A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
Practical experience in back-office operations, financial transactions, reconciliations, or accounting support.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
Good understanding of payment processes, refunds, basic accounting entries, and financial documentation.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong organisational skills and a responsible, proactive approach to work.
Confident written and verbal communication skills in English.
Experience with accounting systems, CRM platforms, or financial software.
