Purpose of this role:

• A Lead Business Analyst (BA) specializes in performing research and analysis to devise strategies for optimal business operations and services, ensuring efficiency and increased productivity and to ensure the organization stay abreast with industry trends and best practices.
• The role also includes ongoing training and development of team skill and competency to respond to the organization requirements to insure the business analyst capability can deliver to requirements and best practice to deliver projects successful to set objectives. insure
• Translating business specifications into effective and efficient operational systems by optimizing, improving, analyzing business processes, translating, and validating user requirements.

Lead BA is accountable for Business Analysis that includes:

• Eliciting requirements.
• Selecting the appropriate sections within the Business case / Functional specification templates to document the business requirement.
• Ensuring any changes to requirements are communicated effectively to all stakeholders.
• Ongoing training and development of team skill and competency to respond to the organization requirements to ensure the business analyst capability can deliver in using the available solutions to enable delivery to organization practices, standards and frameworks to requirements and best practice to deliver projects successful to set objectives; and
• Ensuring that all information documented is accurate and signed off by the applicable stakeholders.
• Be a key role player to ensure overall resource capacity management, client satisfaction and stakeholder engagement between BA team and various stakeholders across the Group.
• Lead BA will guide and encourage the team to reach goals and wellbeing, all while implementing the company and functional objectives, company's policies, and regulations.
• Drive overall BA team delivery and performance management to achieve Scorecard objectives and targets.

Operating Budget/Assets:

The budget management will be aligned to allocated cost as per the approved business cases in support of each project approved for BA resources in respect of time and cost.

Education and Experience:

Grade 12

3 Year Diploma IT/Computer Science - advantageous

Business Analysis Qualification

Advanced Business Analysis Diploma/ Certification

Agile Certification

IIBA Membership - advantageous

Experience Required:

• 2 years plus management experience in leading a Business Analysts
• 7years plus experience spanning in business analysis and process reengineering across various projects types
• 3 year plus agile experience in BA function

Knowledge and skills:

• Professionally liaise with all stakeholders (Project sponsors, Project executive owners and Busines stakeholders etc)to drive the remediation/resolution of project escalations

• Analytical skills

• Strong Verbal and/or written communication to multiple stakeholders

Strong priority on stakeholders management and engagement management

Business understanding:

• Training in line with personal development plans and objectives and approved budgets

• Lead and drive the socialization of change impact across Group

• Collaboration - Relating and networking with various stakeholders

• Full understanding of operating model and various function across the Group

Operational excellence and risk management in respect of BA function as part of Enterprise Project Management Office

Junior Accountant

Salary – R 25 000.00 per month, Cost to Company

Working hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 – 17:00 and overtime when needed

Our client a reputable multi-national manufacturing company has an opportunity for a Junior Accountant to join their firm in Roodepoort, JHB area.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• BCOM Accounting degree and/or Articles (Completed or in the progress)
• Syspro – would be an advantage
• Accounts Payable experience

Duties will include but is not limited to:

• • Reconciliations and Journals:
  • Maintenance of the general ledgers for various companies within the group
  • Accurate, timeous, and consistent processing of general ledger accounting entries, including salaries and wages journals
  • Processing month-end journals entries and review of the trial balances for various companies in the group
  • Updating and maintaining General Ledger reconciliations on a monthly basis including inter-company loan accounts and reconciliations of clearing accounts
  • Maintenance of accrual/ provision balances and ensuring completeness of these investigating and resolving accounting queries
  • Assist with the month end accounting close process
  • Prepare weekly wages for review
  • Prepare and review company credit cards.
  • Review of creditors recon for local creditors (+/- 200 per month)
  • Review foreign creditors recons
  • Review inter-branch accounts
  • Review and approve costings for foreign creditors
  • Follow up with suppliers and other branches to sort out queries on recons timeously
  • Assist the creditors team to solve queries
  • Load payments on the bank
  • Review and maintain supplier master data on Syspro
  • Load beneficiaries on Nedbank
  • Load foreign beneficiaries on Ned Treasury
  • Load foreign payments on Ned treasury
  • Submit weekly and monthly cash flow projection for payments
  • Review age analysis to ensure suppliers are up to date
  • Ad-Hoc duties

• Reporting:
  • Preparation of management accounts for various entities within the group

• Statutory/Legal Compliance/Audit Support and Compliance:
  • Manage and conduct month-end and year-end statutory requirements
  • Ensure compliance to accounting standards and other regulatory bodies in how transactions are accounted for
  • Support the year end and interim audit process

• Fixed assets:
  • Ensuring the fixed asset register is kept updated on a regular basis
  • Account for additions and disposals
  • Conducting a fixed asset count for various entities within the group annually

• Internal controls:
  • Ensure that strong internal controls are being maintained to help ensure the reliability of the financial statements
  • Monitoring and improvement of internal controls

• Other:
  • Conduct petty cash counts and review and sign off petty cash recons on a regular basis
  • Attending and auditing stock counts for various entities within the group
  • Monitoring, processing, and reconciling all insurance claims
  • Assisting with the review of creditors reconciliations
  • All other ad-hoc duties directed by the group financial manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:

1. Supplier invoice processing and payments

• Thorough review of payment requests on Payment Authorisation System
• Thorough review/checking and clearing of payment requests on payment email box
• Ensure that all information on invoices are in order per requirement of relevant entity, this includes line item totals, tax calculations, address information etc.
• Escalate cost fluctuation to the various payment requestors for clarity.
• Verify expense claims against supporting documentation, check that it’s been correctly authorised before payment
• Ensure that agreements are in place where necessary before payments are processed
• Compile payment packs with all supporting documentation and save in relevant payment folder
• Accurately prepare journals and send to accountant for approval and processing
• Accurately load beneficiaries and payments on the banking platform and save payment instruction with payment pack
• Where possible, arrange payment of invoices in base currency not Foreign currency (mitigate Forex losses)
• After payments are released by manager, send out POP to suppliers
• Confirm payment to relevant teams
• Update Payment Authorisation System once payment has been successfully released
• Follow up on rejected payments to ensure that it is successfully reprocessed
• Ensure final invoice is received if payment was made on pro forma
• Stamping and Filing of weekly payments

2. Vendor Maintenance

• Ensure that Vendors are matched in the financial system when making payment
  • Creation of new vendors upon receipt of relevant documentation and approval
  • Ensure relevant vendor agreements are in place and systematic filing of the same
  • Calling of vendors to confirm bank details
  • Sending vendor creation documents to manager for approval on Financial System
  • Ensure timeous resolution/escalation of vendor queries

3. Petty Cash

• Verification of Petty cash claims against supporting documentation
• Confirm Petty Cash on hand and Petty Cash bank account balances and investigate any variances
• Prepare petty cash summary and ensure all documentation is saved in the relevant folder
• Prepare petty cash journal for review by accountant and accurately process upon confirmation
• Ensure petty cash claim is authorised before funding
• Request petty cash funding

4. Month End

• Compile and check monthly supplier list to ensure all costs have been processed
• Send monthly supplier list to accountant for accrual processing
• Ensure that all Vendors and Customers have been matched off before Forex is run in financial system
• Ensure that all prepayments have been accurately and matched in the financial system
• Reconcile and match all Sundry and Marketing vendors
• Monthly Petty Cash reconciliations
• Monthly FX variance write off reconciliation

5. Adhoc

• Audits - Assist with creditor information for audit files
• Archive all financial information
• Other ad hoc duties as may be required from time to time

Skills and Experience Required:

• Finance related Degree or Diploma
  • 3-5 Years’ experience as a FOREIGN creditors controller
  • Experience making payments into Africa
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Intermediate/Advanced Excel Skills
  • Strong Reconciliation/auditing of statements and payments
  • Excellent administrative skills with attention to detail, methodical and disciplined
