Job Summary
Crowe JHB are looking for aspiring CA(SA) candidates to join our team on a structured SAICA training programme, gaining practical external audit experience, professional development and support from experienced team members.
What You’ll Do
· Assist with audit planning, fieldwork and completion, taking ownership of assigned work and resolving review queries promptly.
· Perform substantive analytical procedures, tests of detail and tests of controls with increasing independence.
· Document client control systems, perform walk-throughs, process basic journal entries and understand how risks affect the audit.
· Prepare accurate working papers, follow up errors timeously and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
· A SAICA-accredited accounting degree or relevant CA-stream qualification,
· BCTA (Bridging course), Honours, PGDA or CTA stage completed or in progress for the intake. (advantageous)
· Available to work full-time in Johannesburg and interested in external audit.
What We’re Looking For
· A solid accounting foundation, with the ability to read and interpret information, follow instructions and think analytically.
· Basic familiarity with CaseWare and Excel, including journal processing, formulas and spreadsheet preparation.
· Ownership, accountability, attention to detail, active listening and a willingness to learn.
· Professional conduct and client communication, reliable timekeeping, accurate timesheets and compliance with SAICA training requirements.
