Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial control environment and ensure sound governance practices.
- Manage compliance and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Support operational finance functions, including collections oversight and performance monitoring.
- Assist with legal and contractual financial matters.
- Prepare and analyse management reports for executive decision-making.
- Monitor financial performance and identify operational efficiency improvements.
- Partner closely with the COO on strategic and operational initiatives.
- Drive problem-solving across finance, compliance, operational, and business process challenges.
Job Experience and Skills Required
- BCom Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant finance experience.
- Proven Financial Controller or senior finance management experience.
- Financial Services industry experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of compliance, governance, and financial controls.
- Exposure to operational finance and collections environments.
- Experience working closely with senior executives and business leadership teams.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
