Job Summary
This role involves:Ensuring accurate BOMs and cost data in the ERP system
Driving cost reduction initiatives through detailed analysis of materials, labour, and overheads
Leading RFQ costing and pricing support in collaboration with Sales and Operations to protect margins
Producing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in compliance with IFRS
Developing KPI dashboards and financial performance reporting for executive management
Identifying and escalating financial risks in line with enterprise risk management frameworks
Enforcing adherence to Business Management System (BMS) policies and procedures
Ensuring integrity of financial master data including chart of accounts, cost centres, and BOMs
Leading the finance team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement
Working closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Sales, and Engineering team to enable effective business decisions
Skills & Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience
5+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing or Industrial environment (non-negotiable)
Experience in standard costing, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, and manufacturing variance analysis (non-negotiable)
Proven experience managing or leading a finance team
Exposure to group reporting and multi-entity consolidation (advantageous)
Experience within the mining consumables sector is (advantageous)
Strong proficiency with ERP systems Evolution (Sage Evolution)
Thorough understanding of IFRS and South African tax legislation (VAT, Income Tax, Payroll Taxes,
BBBEE)
Proficiency in business intelligence or reporting tools (Power BI, Qlik, Excel dashboards)
Qualification:
B Com Accounting (or similar)
Completed CIMA qualification
