Job Summary
Reporting to the CFO, you will play a key role in the daily finance operations, financial reporting, and continuous improvement of controls and processes across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily finance operations and ensure accurate, timeous processing across all financial functions.
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts, variance analysis, and financial performance reports.
- Strengthen financial controls and ensure compliance across the region.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Oversee debtors, creditors, cashbook, payroll, and finance administration activities.
- Perform detailed general ledger reviews and ensure accurate reconciliations.
- Assist the CFO with internal audits, projects, feasibility studies, and process improvements.
- Drive efficiencies and support the implementation of financial systems and tools.
- Ensure VAT, tax, and statutory submissions are accurate and compliant.
- Collaborate with operational and commercial teams to resolve financial queries and enhance financial effectiveness.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- CA(SA) required
- Minimum 5–8 years’ post-article experience in finance.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Accountant role.
- Industry experience in courier, logistics, freight, transport, or distribution advantageous.
- Strong technical accounting, financial reporting, and operational finance exposure.
- Proven leadership experience managing or supervising finance staff.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Strong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
