Job Summary
Our client is seeking to hire an experienced and commercially driven Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy, development, commercialisation, and optimisation of payment products and solutions. The successful incumbent will drive product innovation, customer experience, commercial growth, and platform scalability while collaborating cross-functionally to deliver innovative, customer focused, and commercially viable payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and manage the payments product roadmap and strategic vision.
- Identify market opportunities, customer needs, and emerging payment trends.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to drive innovation.
- Translate business objectives and customer requirements into product solutions.
- Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation through to commercialisation and optimisation.
- Drive commercial product launches and support ecosystem growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery.
- Oversee product testing and quality assurance activities.
- Lead and mentor product management teams.
- Maintain product documentation, reporting structures, and roadmaps.
- Contribute to long-term business objectives through product innovation and governance.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
- Postgraduate qualification or certification in Product Management, Agile or Business Analysis will be highly advantageous.
- At least 8 years of experience in product, strategy, or innovation roles, ideally within fintech, payments or banking, with a proven track record in delivering impactful, market-ready solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of the payments industry, including acquiring transaction processing for both card-present and card-not-present environments (mandatory).
- Demonstrated success in creating commercially viable client solutions that deliver measurable value and business growth.
- Skilled in product lifecycle management, go-to-market execution, and managing financial performance (value creation, cost optimisation, ROE improvement).
- Strong networking and relationship building ability.
- Think beyond the requirement and solution for today and the future.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, JIRA).
