Our Client, an leader in the financial industry, is seeking for an experienced and client‑centric Financial Planner specialising in Estate Planning to join their advisory team. This role focuses on helping clients structure, protect, and transfer wealth efficiently across generations. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills, offering holistic guidance that aligns financial planning, tax considerations, and legacy objectives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Law, Accounting, or related field.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) or equivalent professional designation preferred.
- Additional estate‑planning‑related qualifications (e.g., Trust and Estate Practitioner – TEP) advantageous.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in financial planning, with a strong focus on estate planning.
- Solid understanding of trusts, tax implications, estate duty, and fiduciary processes.
- Proven ability to manage complex client cases with discretion and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
Client Advisory & Planning
- Develop comprehensive estate plans tailored to clients’ financial goals, family dynamics, and long‑term legacy intentions.
- Conduct detailed assessments of clients’ assets, liabilities, risk profiles, and estate structures.
- Provide expert guidance on wills, trusts, beneficiary designations, business succession, and intergenerational wealth transfer.
- Integrate estate planning strategies with broader financial plans, including retirement, investment, and tax planning.
Technical Expertise & Compliance
- Stay current with legislation affecting estates, trusts, tax, and fiduciary responsibilities.
- Ensure all recommendations comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with legal, tax, and fiduciary professionals to deliver coordinated, multidisciplinary solutions.
Client Relationship Management
- Build long‑term, trust‑based relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, families, and business owners.
- Facilitate sensitive conversations around legacy, family governance, and end‑of‑life planning.
- Present complex concepts in a clear, empathetic, and accessible manner.
Business Development
- Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and generate new business through referrals, networking, and strategic partnerships.
- Contribute to thought leadership initiatives, workshops, and client education sessions on estate planning topics.
