Job Summary
PKF Cape Town is looking for a Client Onboarding and Compliance Administrative Assistant to join their team in Bellville. The successful candidate will support the client onboarding and FICA administration processes of the firm.
The role is primarily administrative and involves obtaining, reviewing and maintaining client information and supporting documentation, conducting client due diligence and screening procedures, and assisting with onboarding processes in line with the firm’s internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES:
- Matric (Grade 12).
- A qualification or coursework in Compliance, Administration, Legal Assistance, Company Secretarial practice, or a related field will be advantageous.
- 2 – 3 years’ administrative experience.
- Previous experience in client onboarding, FICA administration, KYC or a professional services environment will be advantageous.
- Good administrative and organisational skills.
- Fast learner and independent worker.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to follow processes and procedures.
- Good communication and client liaison skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Experience with CRM or onboarding systems will be advantageous.
- Previous exposure to FICA, KYC or client onboarding processes will be advantageous.
- Previous exposure to trusts, companies, beneficial ownership structures, and corporate clients.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES, but limited to:
Client Onboarding Administration
- Assist with the onboarding of new individual and entity clients.
- Request and collect FICA and KYC documentation from clients.
- Prepare onboarding documentation
- Follow onboarding procedures and ensure required documentation is complete.
- Capture and maintain accurate client information on CRM and CDD systems
- Liaise with clients regarding outstanding onboarding requirements.
- Capture and maintain accurate client information on internal systems.
FICA & Compliance Support
- Conduct basic sanctions and screening checks using approved systems.
- Assist with maintaining FICA records and supporting documentation.
- Update client records and documentation when required.
- Assist with periodic client information reviews and updates.
- Support the legal and company secretarial departments with compliance tasks.
- Ensure client records are filed and maintained accurately.
