Job Title: Finance Manager (Female)

Role Summary
The Finance Manager will lead and oversee all financial aspects of the organisation’s operations, including budgeting, financial planning, compliance, and reporting. This role ensures that financial practices align with operational excellence, sustainability objectives, and long-term strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management and Reporting
- Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to management and stakeholders
- Support statutory reporting, year-end processes, and external audit requirements
- Oversee debtors, creditors, general ledger, payroll, and bank reconciliations
- Ensure timely submission of statutory returns (VAT, PAYE, Income Tax)
- Monitor and analyse financial performance against budgets and forecasts
- Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, cash flow, and project budgets
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Develop annual budgets in collaboration with department heads
- Track financial performance and provide variance analysis
- Lead reforecasting processes as required
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Implement and maintain strong internal control systems
- Ensure compliance with South African financial legislation and tax regulations
- Coordinate with auditors for annual audits and regulatory reviews
Team Leadership & Development
- Manage and mentor finance and purchasing team members
- Encourage continuous improvement and professional development
Procurement Oversight
- Work closely with operations and procurement teams to ensure cost-effective purchasing and stock control
- Maintain vendor relationships and negotiate service agreements where necessary
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (Honours or CA(SA) preferred)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in financial management, ideally within hospitality, conservation, or luxury tourism
- Strong knowledge of hospitality accounting systems (e.g. Opera, Sun Systems, Micros, Book4Time or similar)
- Solid understanding of South African financial regulations and tax laws
- Proficiency in financial systems and accounting software (ERP, Excel, BI tools, Pastel, Xero, Sage Evolution)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
