Job Summary
Job & Company Description:
As a Production Manager, you will take ownership of end-to-end production operations, with a strong focus on process stability, efficiency, quality, and safety. Leveraging your chemical or process engineering expertise, you will optimise manufacturing processes, improve throughput, reduce waste, and ensure consistent product quality.You will play a key role in translating process design and engineering principles into reliable day-to-day operations, while leading cross-functional teams across production, maintenance, quality, and HSE. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your technical expertise at an operational leadership level and make a tangible impact on plant performance.
Education:
- BSc or BEng in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
- Additional qualifications in production management, operations, or HSE will be advantageous
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Minimum 8–12 years’ experience in a manufacturing or processing environment- Proven experience in a production, process, or operations management role
- Strong background in chemical processes, unit operations, and process optimisation
- Solid understanding of production KPIs, including output vs target, efficiency, yields, OEE, and cost per unit
- Experience driving process improvements, debottlenecking, and waste reduction initiatives
- Working knowledge of HSE legislation, process safety, and regulatory compliance
- Experience collaborating closely with maintenance and reliability teams to improve plant availability
- Ability to lead, coach, and develop multi-disciplinary operational teams
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or OEE optimisation
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
