Job Summary
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor of Engineering (B Eng) or Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSc Eng) degree specialising in Electrical Engineering.
· Professional registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineer is highly desirable.
· A minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in engineering roles focused on MV/LV projects within industrial plant environments.
Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in the petrochemical sector.
· Demonstrable expertise in detailed design, engineering, and specification of equipment and networks. Candidates are encouraged to provide examples that illustrate their capabilities.
· Proven track record of driving projects to completion with a results-oriented and proactive problem-solving approach.
· Strong leadership and organisational skills, with the ability to manage the financial performance and morale of the business unit effectively.
· Self-disciplined and self-motivated, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
· Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to promote and market services confidently.
· Proficient report writing skills, with a strong command of the English language.
· Valid SA driver’s licence (Code B / EB).
WORK DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for electrical engineering and design duties, including providing technical leadership to the electrical engineering team. This role involves business development activities, preparation of proposals and quotations, and the development of works information and technical specifications for the procurement and installation of equipment and services.
Provides mentoring and developmental support to junior team members. Oversees workload management, resource allocation, performance monitoring, and ensures the delivery and quality of work packages.
Maintains and cultivates client relationships to support business growth and continuity.
