Job Summary
A leading company in the construction and building industry is seeking an experienced Estimator: Construction & Finishes to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, analysing project requirements, and supporting the commercial and project teams throughout the tendering and construction process.????????????:
✅ Grade 12 / Matric.
✅ Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, ✅ Building Science, Civil Engineering or a related field will be advantageous.
✅ Minimum 3–5 years' experience in construction estimating.
✅ Proven experience in construction and building finishes.
✅ Strong understanding of construction materials, methodologies and costing principles.
✅ Experience with quantity take-offs and BOQs.
✅ Experience obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations.
✅ Strong understanding of construction drawings and specifications.
✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant estimating/tendering software.
✅ Strong numerical and analytical skills.
✅ Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
✅ Strong negotiation and communication skills.
✅ Ability to work under pressure and meet strict tender deadlines.
✅ Valid driver's licence may be advantageous.
