Our client is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Draughtsman to support engineering, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning activities within the ECI department. The successful candidate will produce and maintain high‑quality electrical and instrumentation drawings, ensure compliance with applicable standards, and work closely with engineers, workshop teams, and vendors. This role requires strong technical drafting ability, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple project priorities.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical & Instrumentation Drafting — Produce and maintain electrical and instrumentation drawings
Technical Documentation — Prepare single line diagrams, schematics, panel layouts, GA drawings, field wiring diagrams, cable schedules
As‑Built Updates — Incorporate red‑line mark‑ups into final as‑built drawings
Document Control — Maintain drawing registers, revision histories, and project documentation
Compliance — Ensure drawings comply with company standards, client requirements, IEC and NEMA standards
Engineering Support — Provide accurate drawing information to engineers, workshop teams, and vendors
Drafting Standards — Maintain and improve drafting templates, title blocks, symbol libraries, and numbering systems
Authority & Decision‑Making
Workload Planning — Plan and manage personal workload to meet deadlines
Prioritisation — Prioritise drafting activities across multiple projects
Issue Resolution — Resolve routine drafting issues and escalate technical queries to engineers
Process Improvement — Recommend improvements to drafting processes and standards
Qualifications & Experience
Electrical Draughting Qualification — Qualification in Electrical Draughting, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Industrial Drafting Experience — Minimum 5 years’ experience in electrical drafting within an industrial environment
Standards Knowledge — Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, drafting practices, IEC and NEMA standards

Working Conditions
This is an office‑based position with flexible working hours.
Core office hours are 09:00–15:00, with hybrid working arrangements considered depending on project requirements and management approval.
