Our client is seeking a motivated Draughtsman to join a well-established engineering company specialising in industrial processing solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on technically challenging projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to produce high-quality engineering drawings for manufacturing and installation.
Key Responsibilities
Produce accurate plant layouts, manufacturing and engineering drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs), manufacturing drawings, installation drawings, scope of work drawings and as-built documentation.
Coordinate drawing approvals with internal teams and clients.
Ensure all drawings comply with engineering standards, specifications and customer requirements.
Conduct site visits to obtain measurements and support project layout approvals.
Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and project stakeholders regarding technical drawings and specifications.
Carry out quality inspections at manufacturers' premises and recommend corrective actions where required.
Assist the Projects Team with obtaining quotations and placing orders for equipment and services.
Minimum Requirements
Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Draughting or a related technical discipline.
Minimum 2 years' experience using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
Experience with machining detailing will be advantageous.
Previous experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment is preferred.
Strong technical drawing, planning and organisational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and within a team.
Willingness to travel to project sites and occasionally spend extended periods away from home when required.
