Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing client portfolios and databases.
- Support Financial Advisors with prospecting, client engagement and business development activities.
- Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve growth objectives.
- Assist with client advisory plans and annual review processes.
- Identify opportunities to increase Assets Under Management and overall practice performance.
- Assist Financial Advisors with developing value propositions and pricing frameworks.
- Monitor practice performance, system usage and management information to identify areas for improvement.
- Analyse data and compare performance to identify best practices and improve operational efficiencies.
- Drive the adoption of advisory processes and support Advisors in achieving their targets and objectives.
- Assist with business assessments, dashboards and practice evaluation processes.
- Provide support during client events, roadshows and other business development initiatives.
- Assist with change management and the transition of practices towards improved operating models.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with Financial Advisors, support teams and key stakeholders.
- Develop sustainable practice management and operational processes.
- Provide strategic input while maintaining responsibility for effective operational execution.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce, Finance, Investments or a related field.
- 3–5 years' relevant experience within financial services, business development or a similar role.
- Experience within Financial Planning will be advantageous.
- CFP® qualification will be advantageous.
- Strong understanding of financial services and business development principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong relationship-building, influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong IT and data analysis capabilities.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with XPlan and QlikView will be advantageous.
- Highly self-motivated, proactive and results driven.
- Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage change and work effectively with multiple stakeholders.
