Qualification- Matric / Senior Certificate
- N2/N3 Mechanical Engineering or similar technical qualification.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and practical mindset.
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools.
- Good attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physically capable of performing general workshop duties.
- Valid driver's licence is required.
- Mechanical fitting, electrical or engineering workshop experience.
- Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical drawings.
- Basic electrical or instrumentation knowledge.
- Hands-on and mechanically minded.
- Eager to learn and develop technically.
- Practical and solutions-focused.
- Well organised and detail-oriented.
- Professional when dealing with customers and colleagues.
- Dependable and willing to take responsibility.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing business.
- Assist senior technicians with the servicing, repair and refurbishment of electric actuators
- and related equipment.
- Assist with the dismantling, cleaning, inspection and reassembly of mechanical components.
- Perform basic mechanical workshop tasks, including drilling, grinding, cutting, measuring and assembly.
- Assist with actuator testing, calibration and functional checks.
- Prepare equipment for installation, dispatch and customer delivery.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment.
- Assist with stock control, tool management and workshop housekeeping.
- Identify and report damaged or worn components to senior technicians.
- Assist with basic fault finding and troubleshooting as training and experience develop.
- Follow workshop procedures, quality requirements and health and safety standards.
- Assist with site work, installations and commissioning when required.
- Complete basic job cards, service documentation and inspection records.
