Boilermaker
Purpose of the Role
To fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal and structural steel components for power systems, containers, generator enclosures, and related infrastructure according to technical specifications and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret technical drawings, fabrication plans, and work orders.
- Fabricate, weld, and assemble metal structures such as generator canopies, battery cabinets, fuel tanks, and skid bases.
- Cut, bend, and shape steel using tools such as grinders, torches, shears, and brake presses.
- Inspect and ensure accuracy and quality of finished components.
- Work with welders, electricians, and engineers during project builds or site installations.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Assist with field work and installation on client sites when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Qualification:
Trade Tested Boilermaker (Red Seal preferred)
- Experience:
Minimum 4 - 10 years of relevant experience in a fabrication or power systems environment. Experience in generator or container manufacturing is advantageous.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read fabrication drawings
- Arc, MIG, and TIG welding
- Steel cutting and forming techniques
- Safe use of power tools and heavy machinery

- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong safety awareness and discipline
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (Code 08/10) is an advantage
- Willingness to travel or work on-site as needed
- Must be physically fit and able to handle manual tasks
