Job Summary
Applicants must have the following requirements:
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Structural Engineering, and
Must be registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist.
Must have a minimum of 2 years’ post-registration experience, with proven involvement in engineering design, project planning, and contract administration throughout the full project lifecycle.
Must have strong technical experience in water and structural infrastructure, particularly bulk water reservoirs, water treatment facilities, stormwater systems, water-retaining structures, and reinforced concrete structures.
Must have experience leading and coordinating design teams, ensuring that technical deliverables such as calculations, drawings, schedules, and reports are produced to a high standard, within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Must have a sound knowledge of structural engineering principles, applicable design codes, regulations, and industry standards, with the ability to apply these effectively across projects.
Must be proficient in MasterSeries or Prokon, as well as Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Experience with BIM and digital design platforms, including Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), Revit, and AutoCAD, will be advantageous.
Must demonstrate strong project ownership, accountability, commercial awareness, and client relationship management skills, with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
