Responsible for the accuracy, control, and monitoring of all warehouse stock, ensuring that all stock movements are correctly recorded and aligned with system data.

This role requires high attention to detail, discipline, and experience working on a stock/inventory system (DMS or similar).

This role is best suited to candidates with dedicated stock control / inventory experience using a system.

It is not suited to general warehouse workers, pickers/packers, or purely manual stock roles without system accountability.

Core Responsibilities

1. Stock Control

• Maintain accurate stock records at all times
• Monitor daily stock movements
• Ensure all stock is issued and received correctly
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies
• Control stock allocation to workshop, dealers, and customers

2. Receiving & Dispatch

• Check incoming stock against delivery notes
• Capture stock accurately on system
• Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies
• Ensure correct storage and bin allocation
• Record all dispatches accurately

3. System Control (DMS)

• Capture all stock transactions on system
• Ensure correct part numbers and quantities
• Follow system procedures strictly
• Report system errors or inconsistencies

4. Stock Counts & Audits

• Perform cycle counts and assist with stock takes
• Investigate variances
• Maintain high stock accuracy

5. Warehouse Organisation

• Ensure correct labelling and bin locations
• Maintain clean and structured stock areas
• Follow warehouse processes and procedures

6. Support Function

• Assist Warehouse & Aftersales Manager
• Support parts preparation and stock reporting
• Assist with general warehouse operations when required

Minimum Requirements

• Proven experience in:
  • Stock control / inventory control role (essential)
• Experience working on:
  • Stock system / inventory system / DMS (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Organised and process-driven
• Based in or able to commute to Bellville

Advantageous

• Experience in automotive / parts environment
• Experience with Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
• Exposure to audits and stock counts
