Supply Chain Manager – Pretoria West
A leading engineering and energy‑storage manufacturing company is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to oversee the full supply chain for battery energy storage systems (BESS), including inverters, batteries, and containerised solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with project delivery
Manage procurement of electronic, electrical, and mechanical components
Coordinate sourcing of container manufacturing, cabling, HVAC, and fire suppression
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships (local & international)
Lead demand planning, inventory optimisation, and MRP within an ERP system
Monitor supply chain risks, lead times, logistics constraints, and supplier performance
Drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements
Collaborate with engineering, production, and project teams
Minimum Requirements
Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Commerce, or related
5–10 years’ experience in supply chain/procurement within manufacturing or engineering
Proven experience sourcing electronic, electrical, and mechanical components
Strong ERP/MRP experience (ERPNext, Syspro, or similar)
Experience in project‑based or engineered product environments
Advantageous
Experience in BESS, renewable energy, or power systems
Exposure to international sourcing and logistics
