Job Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual to join JJ Dempers Master Builders. The company currently requires the services of a Financial Manager to oversee the financial functions of a group of companies (three companies and four trusts).
Specific duties include:
- Timeous and accurate monthly management accounts, including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow statement
- Statutory returns and compliance
- Financial management of the organisations, including creditors, debtors and management accounts
- Financial advice to management on cashflow and cash movements
- Financial analysis and reporting
- Financial forecasting
- Oversee group’s fiscal activity, including treasury, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and auditing
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and legislation
- Reviewing and improving internal financial controls
- Year-end audit file preparation, including final trial balance, supporting reconciliations and year-end management account
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Financial Accounting or equivalent qualification (post-graduate degree will be beneficial)
- Completed articles (SAIPA / SAICA) will be advantageous
- At least 5 years relevant experience (previous experience in the construction industry will strengthen the application)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
