Job Summary
Senior Storeman
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Storeman to oversee all store operations, ensure effective stock control, and maintain high standards of organisation and efficiency within the warehouse/store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, excellent administrative skills, and prior experience within the motor industry.
Key Responsibilities Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Manage and maintain accurate stock levels at all times
- Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies
- Monitor stock movement and ensure timely replenishment
- Implement and maintain effective stock control systems
Storekeeping & Housekeeping
- Ensure the store/warehouse is clean, organised, and compliant with safety standards
- Maintain proper storage practices to protect stock from damage or loss
- Ensure all items are correctly labelled and stored in designated locations
Administration & Control
- Oversee all store-related administrative functions, including documentation and record-keeping
- Ensure accurate capturing of stock transactions and reporting
- Maintain proper filing systems for stock records, deliveries, and dispatches
- Monitor and control store-related processes to ensure efficiency and compliance
People Management & Communication
- Supervise and support store staff where applicable
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills when liaising with internal departments and suppliers
- Promote a positive and productive working environment
Operational Support
- Assist with receiving, checking, and dispatching of goods
- Ensure all deliveries are verified against documentation
- Support logistics and coordination of stock movement when required
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Senior Storeman or similar supervisory role
- Experience in the Motor Industry will be advantageous
- Valid driver’s licence
