Senior Network & Systems Administrator

Midvaal Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established client for an experienced Senior Network & Systems Administrator to manage and optimise their IT infrastructure across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain LAN, WAN, VPN, VLANs, and Wi-Fi networks
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure uptime
- Configure and maintain routers, switches, and firewalls
- Oversee network security, backups, and disaster recovery
- Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud environments
- Maintain servers, virtualization (Hyper-V), and system performance
- Lead upgrades, installations, and infrastructure improvements
- Provide support on escalations and mentor junior IT staff
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric with relevant IT certifications (A+, N+, MCITP, Network Security+)
- Diploma in IT Systems Administration (advantageous)
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in network and systems administration
- Strong experience with:
- TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
- Firewalls, VPNs, and MikroTik RouterOS
- Windows Server (2019/2022) & Windows 10/11
- Microsoft 365 & Active Directory
- Solid understanding of network security and infrastructure management
