Our client in the manufacturing industry, is seeking to employ a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team based in the Blackheath, Cape Town.
A wonderful career opportunity awaits an experienced Warehouse Supervisor. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and effectively supervising warehousing operations within the Sales and Marketing Department, ensuring stock control, compliance, and customer service excellence.
Requirements:
Diploma in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related fields (NQF 5).
Up to 5 years’ experience in Warehousing, Inventory & Stock Control, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Procurement within a Manufacturing environment.
Minimum 1–2 years at Supervisory level.
Strong computer literacy (MS Office Suite, SAP, ERP Systems).
Knowledge of warehousing, logistics, and planning processes and practices.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Customer-focused, proactive, and resilient.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Warehousing Operations: Oversee cycle counts, stock takes, FIFO/LOS application, stock variance investigations, and compliance with stock control procedures.
Administration, Systems & Reporting: Maintain data integrity on SAP, ensure accurate capturing of information, manage documentation, credit notes, invoices, and health and safety checklists.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to company regulations, policies, and health and safety standards while minimizing waste and risks.
Customer Service: Build strong relationships with internal and external customers, resolve issues promptly, and represent the business in stakeholder meetings.
Staff Supervision: Oversee drivers, forklift operators, pickers/packers, and crew; conduct performance appraisals; implement training and development plans; manage ER matters.
Cost and Financial Control: Assist with budgeting, monitor expenditure, ensure cost control, and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
