Duties:
Ensure proper control of the Distribution Stores operations.
Manage the transportation and delivery of consignments to the Business Unit.
Determine requirements and establish procedures for the correct handling and movement of consignments.
Oversee maintenance, utilization, and replacement of all delivery vehicles.
Implement and enforce Occupational Health and Safety policies.
Manage the layout and stock levels of Business Unit stores.
Assist in budget planning and monitor expenditure.
Coordinate bi-annual stock takes for the Business Unit.
Plan, allocate, and manage staff according to operational needs.
Control the claim register for A & B Units.
Monitor outstanding orders and check late GRV listings for month-end accruals.
Ensure proper management of salvage units.
Oversee oil, anti-freeze, diesel dips, and deliveries at all depots.
Plan and control small tools and special tools inventory.
Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years' experience in automotive or similar industry roles.
Strong leadership and inventory management skills.
Proficiency in C and R programming languages.
Excellent organizational and control skills.
Ability to manage multiple operations simultaneously.
Familiarity with the following:
Automotive distribution and logistics operations.
Stock control systems and procedures.
Occupational health and safety standards.
