Job Summary
We have a vacancy for an HR Generalist with a vehicle dealership in Johannesburg.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the HR Operations team to ensure optimal performance.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for HR Operations.
- Oversee recruitment and on boarding processes aligned with EE targets.
- Validate and ensure correct system entries on Sage 300 (new hires, positions, approvers).
- Guide line managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee relations matters.
- Monitor and support all disciplinary, grievance, retrenchment, and transfer processes
- Collaborate with Learning & Development to ensure proper employee induction.
- Maintain compliance with RMA injury-on-duty processes and reporting.
- Review and update HR policies regularly to ensure legal and practical relevance.
- Represent the company at DRC/CCMA hearings and liaise with MIBCO and unions.
- Analyse HR trends and provide insights to the HR Executive for strategic planning.
- Prepare and submit monthly HR reports (EE, IR, new hires, ethics declarations, etc.).
- Oversee HR Operations budget and ensure expenditures remain within limits.
- Support labour inspections and audits (Department of Labour, MIBCO).
- Maintain and update company organograms and HR databases.
Requirements:
- Degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Psychology.
- Postgraduate Diploma or Honours Degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years' HR Generalist or HRBP experience.
- At least 4 years' experience in an HR managerial role.
- Hands-on experience using Sage 300 (Essential).
- In-depth knowledge of South African Labour Legislation.
- Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills.
- High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license (Essential).
- Clear criminal record.
- Grade 12 or equivalent
