Job Summary
We are looking for a Master Vehicle Technician with a vehicle dealership in Cape Town.
Duties:
• Conduct advanced fault diagnosis and work preparation on Volkswagen vehicles.
• Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs according to Volkswagen standards.
• Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on all VW models.
• Conduct final inspections and functional tests to ensure vehicles meet OEM standards.
• Interpret diagnostic data using ODIS and other OEM systems.
• Assist and support technicians with complex technical issues and troubleshooting.
• Prepare detailed reports for vehicle hand-over and customer explanations.
• Ensure all work meets Volkswagen Standards of Excellence and dealership quality benchmarks.
• Maintain a high level of workshop efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.
• Stay updated with Volkswagen technical bulletins, campaigns, and training.
Requirements:
• Qualified Motor Mechanic with Trade Test (Red Seal).
• Volkswagen Master Technician Certification (or equivalent OEM Master level).
• Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience as a qualified technician.
• 2 – 3 years’ experience at Diagnostic / Senior Technician level within a dealership.
• Strong experience working with Volkswagen / Audi brand systems.
• Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills (mechanical & electrical).
• Experience working with ODIS diagnostic equipment.
• Valid SA Driver’s License (unendorsed).
•Clear criminal record.
• Computer literate.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and time management.
• Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Solid track record with contactable references.
