Key Responsibilities
As a Quality Technologist, you will be responsible for overseeing the integrity of the production process from start to finish. Your duties will include:
Quality Control & Assurance: Implementing and monitoring quality management systems to ensure all products meet stringent internal and external standards.
Compliance Management: Ensuring full adherence to industry regulations, food safety standards, and health and safety protocols.
Audit Preparation: Leading and assisting in internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
Testing & Analysis: Conducting regular product testing, analyzing data trends, and providing technical support to the production team.
Continuous Improvement: Identifying areas for process optimization and spearheading corrective actions to minimize waste and maximize quality.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
Education: A relevant tertiary qualification in Food Science, Biotechnology, or Quality Management.
Experience: Proven experience as a Quality Technologist or in a similar quality-focused role within the manufacturing sector.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HACCP, ISO standards, and relevant industry certifications.
Skills: Exceptional analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to communicate technical information effectively across departments.
Mindset: A proactive problem-solver who thrives under pressure and is committed to upholding brand reputation.
