Job Summary
Mirna Butler Recruitment is recruiting for a client in Melbourne seeking a qualified and experienced Plumber to join a reputable team in a full-time, permanent role. This opportunity is ideal for South African tradespeople looking to relocate and build a long-term career in Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair plumbing systems including water, gas, and drainage
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing codes
- Ensure compliance with Australian standards and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed
- Collaborate with other trades and site teams to ensure efficient project delivery
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and professional condition
Requirements:
- Recognised plumbing qualification
- Proven experience in general plumbing and maintenance
- Specialised experience in Maintenance and Faultfinding of plumbing installations (Advantage)
- Knowledge of Australian plumbing standards (or willingness to learn)
- Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Valid South African driver’s licence
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physically fit and safety-conscious
Remuneration and Benefits:
- Salary range: AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
- Plus 12% superannuation (employer contribution to retirement fund)
- Overtime remuneration
