Our client is looking for a hands-on Network Engineer who can step in immediately and make an impact.
This mid- to senior-level role sits within a Unified Communications environment and focuses on the support, operation, and evolution of SD-WAN, LAN, and WLAN infrastructure across multiple sites. The environment is primarily Huawei-based but includes H3C and other vendors, making this an ideal opportunity for an engineer who is confident in multi-vendor ecosystems and comfortable adapting between platforms.
You will play a critical role in ensuring high availability, stability, and performance across the network landscape, while collaborating closely with systems, voice, security, and application teams. This is a service-oriented role requiring both technical depth and a strong sense of ownership.

What You’ll Do
Support and maintain SD-WAN, LAN, and WLAN environments across multiple sites
Monitor performance, availability, and resilience of enterprise networks
Troubleshoot complex issues across Layers 1–7
Validate traffic steering, failover behaviour, and policy enforcement within SD-WAN
Manage VLANs, IP addressing, routing, redundancy, and QoS
Support enterprise wireless environments, including RF performance and client connectivity
Work closely with firewall platforms to ensure secure traffic flow
Assist cross-functional teams when network-related issues impact service delivery
Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and change management processes
Participate in after-hours or on-call support when required
What You Bring
Matric (Grade 12)
Strong TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, STP and QoS fundamentals
Experience operating enterprise or service-provider-grade networks
Practical Cisco experience at CCNP level or higher
Exposure to Huawei SD-WAN, LAN, and WLAN technologies preferred
Fortinet FortiGate experience advantageous
Experience in multi-vendor environments
Valid driver’s license and own transport – non-negotiable
A calm, methodical troubleshooting approach under pressure
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Vendor differences do not delay resolution
Other departments experience the network team as responsive and enabling
