Job Summary
REQUIREMENTS:- Minimum 3 years' hospitality maintenance experience
- Proven maintenance management and team leadership experience
- Strong practical knowledge of electrical, plumbing and general building maintenance
- Air-conditioning, geysers, pumps, pools and water systems experience advantageous
- Knowledge of solar systems and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Good understanding of preventative maintenance
- Strong stock, tool and spares control
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety, firefighting and first aid
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
- Basic computer skills including Excel, Word and email
- PanHospitality experience advantageous
- Ability to work independently and remain calm during emergencies
- Valid Driver's Licence
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage, delegate and supervise the maintenance team
- Oversee daily maintenance and upkeep of the property and grounds
- Execute preventative and general maintenance on buildings and equipment
- Maintain air-conditioning, geysers, plumbing, electrical systems, pools, decking and water plant
- Maintain French drains, fencing, firebreaks and other infrastructure
- Maintain and monitor the solar plant and surrounding areas
- Train staff and ensure duties meet health and safety standards
- Maintain firefighting equipment and minimise fire risks
- Maintain fire plans and conduct fire drills
- Manage tools, spares and maintenance stock
- Conduct monthly stock takes and investigate discrepancies
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance and external repairs
- Assist with security requirements when necessary
- Coordinate guides and trackers with maintenance duties when available
- Respond to emergency maintenance after hours
- Assist other departments when required
- Take full ownership of maintenance standards
PACKAGE:
- Salary: R20,000 – R25,000 per month, DOE
- Live-in accommodation and meals provided
- Medical Aid contribution after 3-month probation
- Additional benefits to be discussed during the interview
