Job Summary
This CAD Technician opportunity is a contract/full-time role in Centurion, includes creating and updating detailed 2D technical drawings (and 3D models an advantage) using CAD software, on engineering specs and project requirements. You will collaborate with engineers, technicians and project managers to interpret design briefs, prepare layout and assembly drawings, and ensure all documentation meets quality and compliance standards. The position often requires on-site presence to coordinate with the teams, participate in design reviews, and respond to project needs. Qualifications / Experience - industry-standard CAD software proficiency, prefer AutoCAD (or similar) with ability to create 2D (3D an advantage) techn drawings. Strong attention to detail, interpret engineering drawings and specifications, and maintain organized digital documentation. Effective comms and collaboration skills for working with engineers, project managers, and other team members, at the office and on-site. Relevant experience and/or technical qualification or diploma in drafting, engineering, or a related field; prior experience as a CAD technician or drafter is an advantage. Skills, knowledge and experience in these sectors will be advantageous: ESS (electronic security systems), and PSS (physical security systems), and LSS (life safety systems), and Electrical wiring, cabling, systems. Operating Systems knowledge and PC Tech Support/Troubleshooting an advantage.Error!
