Job Summary
Key Requirements:
- Strong Hot Kitchen experience (essential)
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie
- Ability to lead and supervise kitchen staff
- Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, stock control, and food cost management
- Excellent understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in a fast-paced environment
- Must have reliable transport to and from the Southern Suburbs area
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily kitchen operations alongside the Head Chef
- Ensure high-quality preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes
- Assist with menu planning, stock control, and ordering
- Maintain kitchen hygiene, safety, and organisational standards
- Train, guide, and support junior kitchen staff
- Step in and manage the kitchen in the absence of the Head Chef
