Job Summary
What You’ll Be Doing
Manage daily housekeeping operations across all properties
Conduct regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and adherence to brand standards
Oversee the laundering of linens, towels, and uniforms
Develop and maintain cleaning schedules and deep cleaning programs
Monitor inventory and usage of cleaning materials and amenities
Supervise, train, and motivate housekeeping team members
Ensure adherence to grooming and uniform standards
Manage staff schedules, performance, and development
Promote teamwork, service excellence, and accountability
Ensure high cleanliness standards in all residential, public, and back-of-house areas
Respond to and resolve guest and resident concerns efficiently
Keep clear records of inspections and corrective actions
Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards
Conduct staff safety and sanitation training
Oversee the safe handling and storage of chemicals
Report and follow up on maintenance issues
Assist in managing departmental budgets
Control stock and usage of cleaning supplies
Identify cost-effective solutions without compromising quality
Respond promptly to resident and guest housekeeping requests
Coordinate with front office and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations
Deliver discreet and personalized service when required
What We’re Looking For
This opportunity is open to Zanzibar/Tanzanian Nationals. NO work permits available.
Relevant hospitality qualifications will secure.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a housekeeping management role within resorts or hotels
Strong knowledge of cleaning standards, equipment, and procedures
Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
Working knowledge of housekeeping systems and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with health and safety regulations
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
Fluency in English and Swahili
