Job Summary
Duties:
Leadership and Team Management: Leading and motivating staff, assigning tasks, resolving conflicts, and creating a positive work environment.
Guest Service Excellence: Providing exceptional customer service, handling guest inquiries and complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction throughout their stay.
Operational Management: Overseeing all aspects of lodge operations including front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, food & beverage (if applicable), and activities.
Financial Management: Monitoring budgets, managing expenses, analysing financial reports, and ensuring profitability.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Identifying and resolving operational issues, making quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
Communication Skills: Effective communication with guests, staff, and management, both verbally and in writing.
Detail-Oriented: Paying close attention to details regarding guest experience, facility upkeep, and compliance with standards.
Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to adjust to changing circumstances, manage unexpected situations, and work flexible hours.
Requirements:
Grade 12 / high school diploma
Degree or Diploma in Game Lodge Management / Hotel management or relevant qualifications.
Previous management experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in 5* lodge settings.
Strong understanding of lodge operations and procedures
Proficiency in relevant software systems (property management, reservation systems)
Knowledge of local regulations and safety standards
First Aid and CPR certification may be required depending on the location South African Citizen
Physically fit, sober habits and in good health
