Job Summary
Requirements:
- Grade 12/NQF Level 4 qualification
- Be computer literate in MS Office
- Previous experience in a food environment
- Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Stock Controller
- A qualification in Stock Controlling or similar will be an advantage
- Ability to show initiative & work part of a team
The candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong written and verbal communication.
The ability to follow instructions and procedures is essential, along with a high level of attention to detail, be able to take decisions and have a strong customer service orientation.
The individual must also be deadline driven, have a strong results-orientation, have time management skills, have the ability to plan and organize.
Role and Responsibilities:
- All goods received must be accompanied by a invoice or delivery note
- Notify the Procurement Officer that stock has been received
- Monitors the temp of temperature-controlled storage areas
- Risk and Compliance
• Comply with the necessary Occupational Health and Safety requirements
• Ensure compliance to all food safety regulations, allergen control, housekeeping and pest control
• Participate in personal hygiene check
- Make sure that cycle stock takes are created and completed as set out in the KPIs of the business.
- Make sure that all exception stock takes are handled with the appropriate sense of urgency and that they are completed and authorized within the desired time frame.
