A portfolio of hotels located on the Atlantic Seaboard is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Sales Manager to grow leisure, FIT, and corporate business across key domestic and international markets. This is an excellent opportunity for a well-connected sales professional with a deep understanding of hotel sales, distribution channels, and client engagement.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for driving top-line revenue through strategic sales initiatives, account management, and new business development across leisure, corporate, government, and travel trade segments. The Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in building long-term partnerships, increasing market share, and positioning the hotel portfolio competitively within the region.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute sales strategies across leisure, FIT, corporate, government, and TMC segments
Build and maintain strong relationships with tour operators, DMCs, OTAs, travel managers, and corporate clients
Conduct regular client visits, sales calls, presentations, and trade engagements
Identify new business opportunities and emerging market trends
Actively cross-sell within the hotel portfolio where applicable
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and manage pipeline performance
Represent the hotels at trade shows, networking events, and industry functions
Collaborate closely with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations teams
Monitor competitor activity and adjust sales strategies accordingly
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in hotel or travel sales within leisure, FIT, corporate, or government markets
Strong understanding of hotel distribution, rate structures, and booking channels
Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
Established B2B relationships within the hospitality or travel industry
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts
Ability to travel as required for business development
South African citizenship (non-negotiable)
