Job Summary
Delaire Graff Wine Marketing Team is looking for a dynamic and driven Brand Ambassador to grow wine sales beyond the estate, strengthen brand presence, and build lasting relationships with trade partners and clients.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the optimisation of wine sales outside of Delaire Graff Estate and direct wine sales to private corporate or individual customers;
- Achieve volume, availability and visibility targets as set out by the Wine Sales & Marketing Manager;
- Negotiate wine listings in target outlets within the investment guidelines of the business;
- Maintain and grow active wine listings in outlets;
- Responsible for personally promoting Delaire Graff Estate wines at local wine shows, trade shows, and wine-tasting events;
- Adhere to best practice outlet and customer calls;
- Weekly CRM planning, preparation and execution to maintain and build on the database within your territory, aligned with business objectives;
- Monthly reports, provide trade feedback and collate information;
- Present and build the Delaire Graff Estate brand with information to educate trade staff;
- Brand activation in the on and off-consumption outlets to be present or conduct activations within your outlets and territory;
- Coach and educate third-party distribution representatives to ensure they deliver the desired brand message on behalf of Delaire Graff Estate;
- Arrange and facilitate regular wine tastings to increase wine listings, and educate staff or customers at private functions with a positive ROI for the business;
- Scope and identify positive brand or ROI events and shows to provide information for corporate calendars and business approval;
- Work in synergy with distribution partner.
Requirements:
- Grade 12;
- Relevant tertiary qualification in sales/marketing;
- Wine related qualifications advantageous;
- 3 years of relevant experience in FMCG;
- 3 years of knowledge of the wine industry is essential;
- Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license without endorsements;
- IT literate on an advanced level (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
- Strong sales skills and experience;
- Ability to plan, initiate and run brand-building activities and wine tastings;
- Strong negotiating, relationship building and networking skills;
- Ability to operate independently;
- Ability to communicate in English (verbally & written);
- Business presentation skills;
- Must be self-motivated, self-driven and innovative;
- Represent the Delaire Graff Estate brand presence with daily execution activities;
- After-hours and weekend work may be required from time to time, approved by management.
