The opportunity

As our Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for leading and developing the sales team while driving sustainable revenue growth.

You'll create and execute sales strategies, build strong customer relationships, ensure accurate forecasting, and create a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results.

You'll also continue to grow our client base throughout South Africa while identifying opportunities to expand into Africa.

What you'll be doing

Leadership & team development

• Lead, coach and inspire a high-performing sales team.
• Set clear sales objectives and performance expectations.
• Conduct regular one-on-one coaching sessions and performance reviews.
• Develop the team's sales capability through mentoring and training.
• Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Manage onboarding and development of new sales team members.

Sales growth

• Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned to business objectives.
• Drive new business acquisition while growing existing client relationships.
• Oversee lead generation, pipeline management and conversion.
• Support the team during complex negotiations and key client engagements.
• Identify new market opportunities for RubiBlue's products and services.
• Drive expansion opportunities across South Africa and Africa.

Client relationship management

• Build trusted relationships with key decision-makers.
• Ensure exceptional customer experience and long-term client retention.
• Resolve escalated customer concerns professionally and effectively.
• Represent RubiBlue with professionalism and credibility.

Sales operations

• Monitor KPIs and sales performance across the team.
• Deliver accurate sales forecasting and reporting.
• Ensure CRM data integrity and pipeline accuracy.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer insights.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations and Executive Management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures and contractual requirements.

What we're looking for

Qualifications

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Business Management or a related field (advantageous).
• Sales Leadership or Management qualification/certification (advantageous).
• Strong computer literacy, including CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
• Valid driver's licence.
• Willingness to travel extensively.

Experience

• 5-8 years' successful sales experience with a proven history of exceeding sales targets.
• Minimum 2 years' experience leading and managing a sales team.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and develop sales professionals.
• Strong experience in business development, lead generation and pipeline management.
• Demonstrated success in complex negotiations and closing strategic deals.
• Experience with sales forecasting, reporting and performance analytics.
• Background in a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment.
