Our client in the Manufacturing Industry, is currently looking to employ a Sales Representative, based in Pretoria, Gauteng North.
Includes: Company Car, Fuel, and Commission.
Requirements:
Matric Certificate.
Relevant Diploma or Certificate (NQF Level 5) in Sales, Marketing, or Business.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar Business Representative or Sales role within a Manufacturing or Distribution environment.
Valid Driver’s License.
Computer literacy in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.
Experience with route planning and client account management.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and planning skills.
Ability to work independently and manage customer portfolios effectively.
Preferably residing in Pretoria or surrounding areas.
Responsibilities:
Canvass and open new customer accounts, assessing their potential viability.
Monitor monthly sales per customer using sales management processes and systems.
Provide monthly feedback to management on customer activity and growth opportunities.
Support route planning and logistics coordination with internal departments.
Host trade evenings, promotional activities, and customer entertainment to promote products.
Align customer strategy with marketing initiatives and promotions.
Assist in the credit application process and collaborate with the Debtors team for collections.
Proactively manage high-risk customer accounts and resolve customer queries timeously.
Maintain and care for all company assets, including vehicles and equipment.
Monitor and optimize pricing structures and gross profit margins.
Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels and rotation.
Train customers on product features, claims, rotation procedures, and POS usage.
Maintain an accurate and updated customer database.
Compliance and Cost Control:
Operate within all company policies, regulations, and controls to ensure compliance.
Identify and report risks or areas of concern within the area of operation.
Minimize waste and monitor operational costs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
Ensure customer satisfaction through consistent service delivery and query resolution.
