Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities
- Call on architects, quantity surveyors, developers, contractors, and shopfitters to identify new projects and generate specifications
- Drive product specification at design stage — getting the brand written into architectural specifications before tender
- Develop and manage a healthy pipeline of project opportunities across the Gauteng region
- Generate and follow up on quotations, converting specifications into confirmed orders
- Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with your customer base through regular site and office visits
- Project manage active sites — provide on-site technical support and ensure smooth installation and delivery
- Work closely with internal sales to process and track orders, back orders, and client queries
- Achieve and exceed monthly and annual revenue targets
- Represent the brand at industry events, product presentations, and CPD sessions where relevant
Experience Required
- 3–5 years of B2B sales experience in the construction or built environment industry
- Existing relationships with architects, QS firms, developers, or contractors in Gauteng is a strong advantage
- Experience in a specification-driven sales environment — understanding the specification and tender process is essential
- Candidates from adjacent building product backgrounds are encouraged to apply — experience selling for brands such as Hansgrohe, Cobra, Polyflor, or in the tile or paint industry is directly relevant
- Technically minded — comfortable engaging with product specifications, installation requirements, and site queries
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship management skills
- Highly self-motivated with a proactive, hunter mentality
- Valid driver's licence and own vehicle
Qualifications
- Matric (essential); a relevant tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, Construction, or a technical discipline is advantageous
