Job Summary
Our client is looking for a passionate, target-driven Area Manager to grow their presence within the independent salon and spa market across Pretoria and Johannesburg North.
This is a field-based sales role with a strong focus on new business development. The primary purpose of the role is to increase the company’s market share through opening new accounts, growing existing business, and building long-term relationships with salon owners and nail professionals.
The successful candidate will be a qualified Nail Technician with proven sales ability, a passion for the professional nail industry, and the confidence to drive territory growth through both sales and education.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Qualified Nail Technician (essential)
- Proven on-the-road sales experience
- Strong new business development skills
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organised and self-motivated
- Professional, confident, and target driven
- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Comfortable using mobile sales and reporting tools
- Home Wi-Fi connection
- Willingness to travel, including overnight travel when required.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Proactively identify, approach, and open new salon, spa, and retail accounts
- Grow sales and market share within the territory
- Build strong relationships with salon owners, managers, and nail professionals
- Conduct stock reviews and recommend appropriate orders
- Drive sales through upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Open and onboard new accounts, supporting them through their initial orders
- Identify opportunities to introduce additional company systems and brands
- Provide in-salon product support and basic system training
- Support The Nail Academy initiatives and education programmes where required
- Use education and training as a tool to strengthen client relationships and increase brand loyalty
- Maintain merchandising and display standards within accounts
- Manage your diary, appointments, and call cycle effectively
- Rebook appointments to ensure consistent territory coverage
- Complete reports, administration, mileage tracking, and expense submissions accurately and on time
- Travel throughout the territory, including overnight travel where required
