Position Overview:
A leading plastics manufacturing and distribution company is seeking an experienced Branch Manager to oversee operations at its Port Elizabeth branch. The ideal candidate is a male aged 40-45, with proven leadership ability, strong operational discipline, and a track record of managing high-performance teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Lead and manage staff across production, warehousing, logistics, and administration
- Drive branch performance through effective planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and operational standards
- Monitor stock levels, production schedules, and dispatch timelines
- Analyze branch performance metrics and implement corrective actions where required
- Manage budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting
- Uphold company values, professionalism, and operational excellence
Minimum Requirements:
- Male candidate aged 40-45
- Minimum 5-8 years experience in a Branch Manager or Operations Manager role
- Experience in manufacturing, plastics, packaging, or industrial production
- Strong leadership, communication, and people-management skills
- Solid understanding of production processes, warehousing, and logistics
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain high operational standards
- Proficient in MS Office and basic ERP/POS systems
- Fluent in Afrikaans and English
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transport
